This mini booklet in Chinese titled 《佛陀的一生》, featuring the life of Buddha is actually made to be a museum companion guide for our museum guest, as a little souvenir, completely free of charge, for guests to bring home and remember Buddha by.

As ardent readers of the blog may notice, the museum has just started a Chinese museum guided tour by Yanfei, the "walking dictionary" and pride of Buddhist Culture (which is ahem... the department which this museum belongs to) on every Friday 4pm, rain or shine. :)

The tour is currently only conducted in Mandarin. But we do accept advanced requests for English tour as well, so please don't feel shy about contact us for English tours, we'll be most happy to help. You can email to museum@btrts.org.sg to June to make the request!

This guided tour the first of our museum outreach program which we are currently planning, to put Buddhist culture and Buddhist art appreciation directly on the plates of diners, served piping and hot. We are considering more activities such as interesting quizzes, mini seminars about Buddhist art, publications to make Buddhist art and culture accessible and indispensable to the everyday person - our valued guest!

We sincerely beseech generous and benevolent individuals or companies, to lend us a big helping hand in sponsoring our printing of this mini booklet that is specially dedicated to illustrating the incredible life of Buddha Sakyamuni. A counter in the main hall in BTRTM is set up to collect kind donations for the print of this booklet. The Buddha assumes an active role in narrating His own life story - From His incredible Birth, to growing pains, to renunciation, to enlightenment, propagating of Dharma, till his Great Nirvana as, possibly, the world's greatest and most well known Teacher.
